We don’t need no education

Those of you who know me personally also know that I don’t like “modern” educational system. I believe that today’s education is created this way so that a couple of people could rule the world but I won’t go into details about that here. What I want to talk about are edu links and sites.
Most webmaster (SEOs) will tell you that .edu backlinks are really valuable. I thought that it is not true but when I saw top 10 results on Google of some pharmacy related queries my beliefs changed. It seems that if you are a college webmaster you can manipulate SERPs pretty easy. To me that fact seems scary and unfair.
In one of my first articles I wrote about old domains and the way that Google treats them. If you combine an old domain with .edu extension you get an ultimate SERP manipulator tool. I don0t know what you think bit I believe that Google should out less value on .edu links and web sites. After all, we don’t want college sites to dominate SERPs, do we?
All in all it’s just another brick in the wall…
How to make 2,500$ per month?

Actually this is the second part of my last article in which I’ve promised that I will explain how to make 2,500$ per month. Even though that making even more money is possible with link selling you must be aware that this technique requires a lot of patience and a lot of hard work.
First thing that you need to achieve is a high page rank. As I’ve said many times before, I won’t argue about the importance of page rank, for this purpose (link selling) you need to have a high page rank web site. The fact is that people buy high page rank links and they pay a lot of money for monthly subscriptions. Some amounts are really unbelievable, up to 1,000$ per month for one link.
In order to earn 2,500$ per month you’ll probably need to make a network of websites, 5 or more, depending on how much are you going to work on each one, how much traffic you can pull, how high page rank etc.
Let’s say that you can create a page rank 6 website, that is, five PR 6 web sites. I know that it sounds scary but if you work a lot this can be achieved. Price of one PR 6 link ranges from 10 to 30$ per month depending on the category (niche) of your website and the traffic that you get. To be optimistic let’s say that you will sell 10 links from your homepage for 20$ each. Simple math tell you that you will get 200$ per month with only one website. If you can repeat what you did on the rest of your four web sites you’ll be making 1,000$ per month doing almost nothing.
Didn’t I say 2,500$ per month?
Yes I did. In order to make more money you will again use your network of website. Because you have sold 10 homepage links you can’t sell any more but what you can do is to sell links from your articles. If you have enough content money will be pretty big. In each article you could sell three links and keep it normal looking article as it always has been. Writing one article per day and selling links in it could get you up to 15$. That is per day. One month would the yield 450$ from one website and total of 2250$ per month with all 5 websites. This is only from article links.
Combined you could be making 3,250$ per month with five web sites. As everything else, web is not a perfect place I you can’t expect to sell all of your links. That is way I’ve said that you could make 2,500$ per month.

Selling links as online investing

While browsing through one of the last webmaster forums I’ve noticed that there are a lot of link selling going on in trading sub forums. I have already written about selling links and you all know how I feel about the importance of links and page rank that comes with it.
Page rank is just a number and it doesn’t mean anything, or does it? As I have noticed people spend a lot of money buying high (and low) page rank links. Personally I don’t approve link buying but it seems like this form of online business is going to be even more present through World Wide Web.
Looking for a way to make money online many webmasters decided to sell links, after all it looks like free money. I’m not going to discuss Google’s interests in stopping link sales. My own thinking is that Google shouldn’t worry about such things. Thinking more about it wouldn’t it e fun to earn your paycheck while you do what you love, build your web site?
Doing a couple of simple math calculations produced a number of 2,500$ per month in link sales that almost anybody could earn. I’m not going to tell you how I came to this number; it will be discussed in one of my next articles. If you think that making 2,500$ per month is not enough than don’t read my blog.
How to be funny

Webmasters are serious guys. SEOs are serious guy. Online marketers are serious. We are all too serious. In order to have more successful life you need to feel happy because happiness takes your problems away.
Many people will say that the laugh is the best cure and to make someone laugh you have to learn how to be funny or how to be witty. You can learn to be funny if you hang out with funny people and observe what they say and do, that make other people laugh.
Another good method is to read a lot of jokes or watch stand up comedians. YouTube is a good resource to find stand up comedy which will really make you laugh while your subconscious learns how to be funny.
Marketing blog news

Even though the title might suggest that something really cool happened it really didn’t. Well, couple of things did happen and they are really cool to me.
First of all I have to say thanks to David Meerman Scott for putting my name in his new book called
The New Rules of Marketing & PR!
David decided to mention people who helped him writing it and he also listed those people on his blog. Thanks again David. Not sure how I helped though…
The other thing that’s new is that I have started to submit articles to article directories. I know that should have started earlier but better late than never, right? I think that by doing article marketing combined with my social bookmarking service will produce great results both in traffic and in rankings.
What social bookmarking service you may wonder? Well, I’ll tell you more about it in my next article so stay tuned.
The third thing that actually made me really happy is so good that I can’t describe it. But I can’t say what it is because I might get in trouble.
Also, I’m seriously thinking about doing website reviews right here on my marketing blog. Of course I would do reviews of webmaster related sites (marketing, seo, online business etc.). The more I think about it the more I’m certain that I should start…
