Marketing blog challenge – the progress
Filed under: Marketing blog challenge by Sasha on June 8, 2007
When marketing blog challenge began I told to a friend of mine that if I get into top 50 on Google I will start my own seo company. Now I don’t feel so enthusiastic about being in top 50, I’m not even satisfied with being in top 20. Right now I feel greedy and I won’t be happy until I get into top 5. Only then I can say that I’m a seo expert.
Back then when the challenge started, I didn’t feel so confident but today things are radically different. I’m sure in my seo knowledge and I’m sure that if invest more time getting into top 5 shouldn’t be a problem.
I know that many people who start doing seo think that there is no way to be on top of Google but the fact is that a lot of knowledge about seo and search engines is available to the general public so to be successful the only thing you need to have is time and some money to pay for your hosting bills.
Seo is a wonderful game and it can bring you lot’s of fun if you give your best effort but it can also make you a lot of money if you are patient enough.

“The new rules of Marketing & PR”
Filed under: Marketing by Sasha on June 4, 2007
“The new rules of marketing & PR” is a very good book that can help a lot to old marketers as well as new ones. It is written by David Meerman Scott, the author of WebInkNow, very cool marketing blog.
I was fortunate to get this book for free, from the author himself. My marketing blog challenge was interesting to David so he decided to thank me by sending me his book. Thanks again David, very cool of you.
Besides the book, I got a lot of incoming links because people copied David’s thank you list which contains a link to my marketing blog. Unfortunately David decided to use “Where business meets the web” as an anchor text and so did the others who copied the list. I whish it was “marketing blog”, “marketing blog challenge” or any other phrase that contained “marketing blog” in it but I’m not that lucky.
As David said in his book, blogging is a powerful tool and I would suggest everybody to start blogging….
