Affiliate marketing – Creating affiliate website
Filed under: Affiliate marketing by Sasha on March 3, 2008
D day came sooner than I expected. I have decided to build a website which will earn me a good passive income. Doing a little calculations while waiting in line at bank I have figured that I need to make 2,000$ passive income in order to live really well. Since many affiliate marketers earn a lot more from their websites I figure I can do it too. Before you start, I know that it is a lot harder than it sounds but I really believe in this.
So the project started two days ago. So far I have done the following:
1.3. registered domain, ste up wordpress, uploaded theme, one article written
2.3. added category removal plugin, seo plugin, added to digg
3.3. added to google webmaster tools, added sitemap plugin, registered on related affiliate network, another article written.
Because I’m new in this niche I don’t know what to expect from my visitors but my plan is to have the first sale in this month. I would really need to have a poor converions rate in order to fail my goal. To make my first sale a realistic goal I have decided to plan my website marketing strategy in advance.
Here is the plan for this month:
- Write 30 articles for my website
- Write 30 articles for article directories
- Submit articles to social sites
- Write 50 forum posts per day
So far I have written 2 articles for the website itself and I have submitted one of them to digg.com which lead to a one day indexing procces. I know, I’m already late with my project but the day is not over yet so I guess I could catch my timeframe by the end of the day.
One problem that pop-ed up is the right forum to post. I still haven’t found one. Well, one more thing to do today I guess.
I believe that this proccess will lead to my first sale during this month, if it does then I’ll do even more work, if it doesn’t same thing, more work until I get my first sale.
Wish me good luck…
p.s. yes I know I need images in posts
