Actually this is the second part of my last article in which I’ve promised that I will explain how to make 2,500$ per month. Even though that making even more money is possible with link selling you must be aware that this technique requires a lot of patience and a lot of hard work.

First thing that you need to achieve is a high page rank. As I’ve said many times before, I won’t argue about the importance of page rank, for this purpose (link selling) you need to have a high page rank web site. The fact is that people buy high page rank links and they pay a lot of money for monthly subscriptions. Some amounts are really unbelievable, up to 1,000$ per month for one link.

In order to earn 2,500$ per month you’ll probably need to make a network of websites, 5 or more, depending on how much are you going to work on each one, how much traffic you can pull, how high page rank etc.

Let’s say that you can create a page rank 6 website, that is, five PR 6 web sites. I know that it sounds scary but if you work a lot this can be achieved. Price of one PR 6 link ranges from 10 to 30$ per month depending on the category (niche) of your website and the traffic that you get. To be optimistic let’s say that you will sell 10 links from your homepage for 20$ each. Simple math tell you that you will get 200$ per month with only one website. If you can repeat what you did on the rest of your four web sites you’ll be making 1,000$ per month doing almost nothing.

Didn’t I say 2,500$ per month?

Yes I did. In order to make more money you will again use your network of website. Because you have sold 10 homepage links you can’t sell any more but what you can do is to sell links from your articles. If you have enough content money will be pretty big. In each article you could sell three links and keep it normal looking article as it always has been. Writing one article per day and selling links in it could get you up to 15$. That is per day. One month would the yield 450$ from one website and total of 2250$ per month with all 5 websites. This is only from article links.

Combined you could be making 3,250$ per month with five web sites. As everything else, web is not a perfect place I you can’t expect to sell all of your links. That is way I’ve said that you could make 2,500$ per month.

While browsing through one of the last webmaster forums I’ve noticed that there are a lot of link selling going on in trading sub forums. I have already written about selling links and you all know how I feel about the importance of links and page rank that comes with it.

Page rank is just a number and it doesn’t mean anything, or does it? As I have noticed people spend a lot of money buying high (and low) page rank links. Personally I don’t approve link buying but it seems like this form of online business is going to be even more present through World Wide Web.

Looking for a way to make money online many webmasters decided to sell links, after all it looks like free money. I’m not going to discuss Google’s interests in stopping link sales. My own thinking is that Google shouldn’t worry about such things. Thinking more about it wouldn’t it e fun to earn your paycheck while you do what you love, build your web site?

Doing a couple of simple math calculations produced a number of 2,500$ per month in link sales that almost anybody could earn. I’m not going to tell you how I came to this number; it will be discussed in one of my next articles. If you think that making 2,500$ per month is not enough than don’t read my blog.

When I got interested in SEO and marketing, Digital Point Forums was the best place to find information and being there a couple of months I can say that it still is. DP is a large forum with many sub forums and around 35,000 registered users. It has Buy/Sell/Trade section where you can find many great things like links, templates etc.

The best thing about DP is that it is allowed to sell signature space. What this means is that people actually pay you for putting their website in your signature. Forum rules allow you to have no more than 4 links and no more than 3 lines of signature.
You must be wondering how much can you really make? Here is a little price list according to my observations, these prices are not fixed, actually you can probably get more then I have guessed.

100 posts -> 1$ per link/month
500 posts -> 5$ per link/month
1000 posts -> 10$ per link/month
2000 posts -> 20$ per link/month
5000 posts -> 50$ per link/month
10000 posts -> 100$ per link/month

These prices will vary from user to user, it depends on quality of your posts, number of posts per day and how good can you run an auction. The auction is the best way to sell signature links because as I have noticed people usually get their BIN or even more.

So how on earth are you going to post 10,000 posts? My suggestion is to start writing the second you register. To write 10,000 posts in one year you will need to post ~28 posts per day which is a lot. If you are really interested in subjects being discussed at DP you will have no problem achieving 28 posts per day and if you count in every new member (I think there are 10 introductions per day) you can easily cut down your 28 posts to 18, saying hello and welcome 10 times takes a minute. You can do all 28 posts in one hour or less, depends on how good you write.

If you think that you can’t post that many posts per day I’ll give you one example, when I first registered at V7N forums I wrote more than 150 posts in two days because I really liked the forum and members were giving me good reputation points. So I don’t think that 28 posts per day is that much.

I know that some of you will say that I don’t post that much (actually I post around 3 posts per day at DP) but that is going to change this year. I have realized the potential that DP has.

Let’s talk more about numbers. If you do take my advice and post 28 (or more) posts per day after 72 days you will have 2016 posts and that means you can get 20$ per link monthly and since you have 4 links available you can earn 80$ per month. Not much you say? Keep reading. If you continue posting like you have started after 180 days you will have 5040 posts and the price of your signature links will rise to about 50$. So now you will be earning 200$ per month. At the end of the year you will have 10220 posts and 3 times 80 and 6 times 200$ so the final number is: 1890$.

Maybe you are not so happy with that number? I bet that you forgot that now you have ~10,000 posts and that you signature is worth 100$ per link, so now you can earn 400$ by doing almost nothing, just keep posting couple of posts per day.

At the end of the second year you will earn 4800$. Does this sound better? If you look at DP like this you will see that it pays off in long term.

Did you think it is over? No it isn’t! A couple of weeks ago one directory owner started buying people’s avatars and he was paying good money for them too. I guess with 5,000 posts you could get 100$ per month easily for your avatar.

Maybe these numbers don’t sound too big for you, if you live in USA they probably aren’t but if you live in countries where average paycheck is around 650$ then these numbers are pretty big.

I’m going to end this article with a reminder that I didn’t write this so people would start spamming DP forums, I don’t want that to happen. If you are truly passionate about SEO and if you are a good webmaster you will join DP and help it to become even bigger and better.
